The Rouncer

By: Josh Cocciardi 2/24/15
A product ready to hit shelves of bed bath and beyond is what I see. The Rouncer is a mandolin slicer on crack with 14 chopping, dicing, slicing, cubing and julienning accessories to make quick work (5 seconds even) of any ingredient bold enough to stand in your way.

Available in a few fun colors, the vegetable crushing accessories come neatly in a cylindrical tower for easy storage and access. Unlike other products which come with only a few attachments in a bag, which ends up in the trash, the pieces won't end up jammed into your cabinets wherever they'll fit. The flat design of the body stores nicely and looks neat and organized when out.

Head over to the indiegogo campaign and pre-order your Rouncer today. I see a big future for this product in kitchenware stores and big box retailers around the world, you heard it first here, so now's your chance to get it before anyone else knows what it is!

Check it out on indiegogo and newtonstein

JungleBowl

By: Josh Cocciardi - 2/24/15
The JungleBowl struck me, at first I did not see the utility in having something locked in the bottom of a food bowl, once the kid sees it, the jig is up. Of course, as I watched on I realized (was spelled out for me) that the bowl contains a removable bottom allowing parents to easily stash rewards for finishing their meal; ideally a bowl of veggies.
The product was inspired by parents, so I assume like all good ideas, this one solves a real problem. Seriously, if you are a parent, you know getting your kids to eat can sometimes be a battle and you already probably incentivize them with treats, playtime, toys, etc. This product is a simple way to simplify mealtime.

I easily see this product penetrating Amazon and big box retailers while also featuring prominently in boutique mommy shops and stay at home mom-dad blogs giving tips to get their kids to eat.

I still am not sure I get the name though.

Check them out on kickstarter and of course at junglebowl.

Pon - Pushing the Limits of Pushpins

By: Josh Cocciardi - 2/24/15
Amazing to see where innovation takes us, from the latest rolls royce turbine to, well, a new push pin. Pon, takes pushing ones pins to a new level, and it isn't just something I find fascinating, Pon is racking up backers over at kickstarter. With other 1000 backers  and $20,000+ already pledged you can bet Pon is open for business.

Pon's key innovation is a no puncture ring of magic; resembling a tightly coiled spring, or one of those key rings that hurt your fingers to add a key or useless barcode scanner to the supermarket which you'll never use because you have a phone number.

The patent pending design however, works seamlessly, the developers at Pon have "prototyped the crap out of it to ensure the perfect amount of snugness and flexibility". The pin readily accepts anything from a sticky note to a Kenny Loggins album (the greatest record of all time according to Pon's narrator).

Check them out on kickstarter or ponitup.
